Jack
Beheading a ghost, what a mission, Getting all geared up, sipping on moonshine, Sharpening the axe, kicking the door open, Entering the woods, listening to the silence, There it is, asleep, glowing in a hole, Approaching stealthily, lifting the heavy tool, Gathering momentum, going for the impact... But the shadow's long gone as the blade crushes a stump. Pale shadow flashing in your back, turn around. Struggling to unstuck yourself from the log, arm again; gone. An owl as only companion, bears and wolves in the shadows. You stand alone in the woods, shadow's gone.
